about

From Lillerne:

lillernetapes.bandcamp.com/album/where-we-were-tomorrow Tapes here

"Really excited to announce that Lillerne #106 belongs to Strange Mountain II's "Where We Were Tomorrow." This marks the fourth (!) release on Lillerne from this prolific solo project of Jakarta's Marcel Thee. "Slow Midnight" came out in 2013, and the stunning new pieces have yet to quit. “Slow Midnight’s” wonderfully warbly and lo-fi moods have given way to even more powerful, expansive sonic environments. “Where we Were Tomorrow” still has that all-encompassing warmth and comfort that define Thee’s compositions—the patient timing and thoughtful melodic shifts that I’ve come to love about the world of Strange Mountain. There’s so much emotional (but not cloying) depth and power within the subtle and intricate movement of each track on this cassette. I’m blown away, as usual, and excited for you to give it a listen. Contemporary ambient music at its best. Here’s to ten more SM II tapes on Lillerne! Edition of 50 pro-dubbed cassettes with full-color, double-sided artwork."
