about

I often tell make up stories of space creatures, odd beings, princesses, and monsters for my now-4-year-old daughter. As these stories are meant to present both excitement yet feel journey-like enough to infuse a good amount of sleepiness, they very often consists of those above subjects traveling on long, mystical journeys - as friends of odd companies. This particular recording came as a result of fully engrossing that tale with a soundtrack of sorts, one which I could play while making up another night's tale of space and/ or deep sea travels (we're not much fans of the dusty ground, though it makes its odd appearances here and there). Fittingly minimalist, all sections were written using a tape-processed acoustic guitar - run through both TCM16, TCM-600DV recorders - and fed back into the computer. All reverb are natural and playing improvised within two alternating minor and major keys. Minor additions of the JX3P and CASIO PT200 semi-hidden within.
